Sometimes things aren't meant to be. On the first night of the festival I went out with
my 17-40mm lens (non IS), a monopod (not a tripod), and the camera set to a custom fluorescent
light white balance. Well thank God for raw convertors. Using the new free RawShooter I
was able to salvage the white balance and even with high ISO noise because I didn't
have a tripod I was able get a few decent shots. This was to be a trial run but unfortunately
I was unable to go back - ah, there's always next year.

We were invited by a friend who sings in the choir to attend a Christmas carol performance.
Very good. All photos taken hand-held with no flash using a Canon IS lens.

A three day visit to Quebec City turned into a unique photo-op when the Queen Mary 2 unexpectedly docked
at it's first Canadian port. We also had a chance to visit some of the old city, the Plains of Abraham,
L'? d'Orl?, and the Montmorency Falls
